New Hampshire Lottery Launches The Home Depot® Instant Game*

Roswell, Ga. (March 2, 2016) - New Hampshire Lottery wants players to know that it has a DIY deal for them.  Through a license with Alchemy3, the lottery will launch a $2 licensed- The Home Depot scratch ticket.  It goes on sale March 25.

“The Home Depot is one of the cool yet different licensed properties out there,” asserted Maura McCann, Marketing Director, New Hampshire Lottery.  “Combine that with the fact that it’s the perfect time of year, when people think of home ‘make-overs’ and add to it the success that other lotteries have had, all this provided good reasons to jump into it.”

And McCann dramatically pauses before stating the clincher: “We like the color orange.  As they say ‘orange is the new black.’  And they promised Charlie McIntyre that he could play with the power tools and big construction equipment.”

The lottery is projecting the ticket will index at 117.  Research shows The Home Depot brand offers a clear connection between home improvement and lottery ticket buyers.  “DIY- that’s it in a nutshell.  Folks that ‘do it yourself’ are our players! A perfect demographic match,” said McCann.

New Hampshire Lottery Director Charles McIntyre won’t be stumping for the new ticket with its 2nd chance drawing promising prizes of a mega-makeover ($25,000), a mini-makeover ($10,000) and $500 Gift Cards.  This job falls on the able shoulder of the lottery’s comedic spokesman.

“We will be having the first personal appearance by Chuck McLuck! Chuck is our ever exuberant voyager who has traveled the world in search of the luckiest place on earth and he has found it, right here in New Hampshire with the New Hampshire Lottery. The ticket debut will coincide with Chuck making his first in-state public appearance at three The Home Depot locations in New Hampshire, where he will be the master of ceremonies involving team competitive DIY home projects,” says McCann.  “For this licensed property, this will be a first for Alchemy3 to have on-site events at store locations.”

But lottery players might need to wear their ski jackets because all the fun is staged outdoors.  “The Home Depot will not let us inside their stores due to liability, so we will be outside in their parking lots!” said McCann.
